Opening Day
The Club will hold the traditional river opening ceremony on Friday 11th February at 11.00 am. The procession will begin from the Crawl Park car park to the river where the ceremony will be held. Ivan Munro, the retiring Club Secretary will officiate and the first cast will be taken by Mr Ronnie Dempster.
As with last year the river will remain open from the 11th February until the end of the season. In a change this year the Estuary beat will also open from the 11th February until the end of the season. Work, funded by the Dingwall Wind Farm Cooperative and the Pat Munro Foundation, is taking place to clear the banks of the estuary beat to make access easier. As the bank clearing is weather dependent it may extend into the start of the new season.
