Fishing Allowed

Fishing to be allowed from Friday 29th May.

The Scottish Government has announced that from tomorrow fishing will be an approved form of exercise subject to social distancing restrictions.  The Alness Angling Club waters will therefore be open for fishing from tomorrow in line with other local fisheries including the Novar Estate.

While fishing, all fishers must continue with social distancing restrictions by keeping at least 2 metres away from ALL other people unless they are from your household.  It is also advisable to continue all hygeine measures including using hand gel if you touch gates and hand washing when returning home after fishing.

It would be understandable if there are several people fishing at the same time so please be couteous and if someone is coming behind move down pools at least one step every two casts in line with the Club rules. Please also make sure you carry your membership card.

While river conditions right now are not ideal but hopefully we will see the first fish of the season from our water in the coming days.  Please let us know of any success either by  posting on the Club FaceBook page.
